Summary
TL;DR: Earthly is free for local use. To run Satellites, choose BYOC on AWS with auto-sleep or Self-hosted using a docker image on your host. No need to run Satellites to use earthly - run it on your machines for free.

You can you that, or just run earthly locally (not using a remote runner)

So if we didn't use Satellites we'd have to use Remote Build Kit?

OK, that's useful to know as well. Thank you

keep in mind, you don’t need to run any Satellites at all to use earthly - you can run Earthly on your own machines for free

Thanks. So that sounds like we would fall into the Self-hosted bracket, as we don't use AWS.

Hi Steve just to clarify: you can use OSS earthly locally at your discretion, but regarding Satellites running on your infrastructure you have two options: • BYOC: your AWS account, Satellites managed by us. You'd benefit from our auto-sleep feature • Self-hosted: you run the Satellite as a docker image in your own host.

Hi, I'm evaluating Earthly for our team and am trying to understand the costs. If we were to only use Earthly locally (i.e. Satellites on our local/hosted machines) does that class as the Self-Hosted pricing Tier?
